Our role is to act as a first step in the planning process, specifically to listen to village opinion and then provide the District council with either a statement of support or of objection or a neutral stance.  We do not have the authority to make planning decisions and we have a legal responsibility to not pre-determine an application, not be biased and to declare any conflict of interests.
